In the past couple of weeks Library Advisory board helped Mrs.Bridge with the bulletin board. The bulletin board was about soil and dirt. After we checked in the books and put them back on the shelves. Then we put up a new display, the display was about soil.so that was basically all we did and it was exciting.
Today we checked in books and we put spanish stickers on the books that were written in spanish. The group put up a new display of books, this time we put books that were made into a movie. LAB has been making a video about BAM (books authors and more) so check it out. That's what we did this week. Check the blog next week for more!!!<3
For the last few weeks the Library Advisory Board has ordered about 35 books, we made R.E.A.D posters and checked in books for the library. It's taken a lot of effort from every one in LAB to make all this happen. For conferences we moved books onto tables outside of the library and donated them to people who needed
In our first couple of weeks we checked in books. We also organized books into the shelves because they were messy. We talked about what changes we are going to do to the library. We also cleaned up the library. We also talked about what we are going to do next.
We've just completed the first full month of school. Within that month the library has been host to just about every student in the building. We survived library orientation and the first book check-out with minimal issues. MAP testing had a rocky start, but smoothed out nicely. The library has seen some changes since the start of the year. The new teen reading lounge is set up and has already seen some use. The next step is to set up the first book display on the wall. Next month the new Library Advisory Board (LAB) will be established. That should give the students input into library ordering and eve As we enter a new school year I thought it would be a neat idea to create this new website. This page will be updated throughout the year to include the latest resources to help students, teachers, and the community learn and grow.
The ZCMS library has gone through a metamorphosis this past summer. I believe these changes will create a fantastic environment and improve the overall quality of the library. This blog will be a great way to share what's happening in the library. |
